Whitetail Deer Hunting

Weber's Lodge is located in North Dakota Hunting Unit 2E.

Deer hunting is one of the most competitive sports in North Dakota. Everyone is out the first day of hunting season, and it is always hard to find a spot that hasn't already been hunted on. That's were we come in.

By contacting us, you will have a guaranteed spot to hunt for your deer without having to worry about other hunters scaring the deer off the land.

Most of the bucks that are shot in North Dakota are 3 by 3's, 4 by 4's, or 5 by 5's. However, there are 6 and 7 point bucks out there. These heads are nice and will make a nice mount for the den at home. (In North Dakota, we count points on one antler, not the whole rack)

Last year, a 7 by 7 rack was shot on our property.

Even if your not out to get a buck, the does in North Dakota are nice and big. A nice doe will make an excellent mount. Horns or not, you will have a great hunting experience with us.

Hunters must obtain a valid hunting licenses through North Dakota and meet North Dakota's regulations.

North Dakota bowhunting starts early and ends late. Archers can begin their quest for white-tailed deer early in September through late December. Resident deer bow licenses are good for mule deer or whitetail.

Nonresident any-deer bow licenses, which allow taking of either whitetail or mule deer, are limited in number to 15 percent of the mule deer gun licenses for the previous year. In 2006, the quota will be about 1,000. Deadline has passed to apply for the any-deer license.

More information

Nonresident whitetail only - Bow licenses are not limited in number.

No party hunting - North Dakota hunters may shoot and tag only the big game animal for which they are licensed. Party hunting is not allowed. Once your tag is filled, you may continue to accompany a group, but you cannot harvest an animal for another license holder.

Vehicle use - While hunting big game, vehicles must stay on established roads and trails. However, after an animal is killed and properly tagged, and as long as the landowner allows it, a vehicle may leave an established road or trail to retrieve the animal.

Transportation - License holders must accompany their animals during transportation. Permits to allow transport of big game by another person are available from state game wardens.
